Irish grindcore legends ABADDON INCARNATE sign to Transcending Obscurity

"We’re huge fans of grind music but we haven’t been able to sign too many, with the exception of Medium, Henry Kane, Morgue Supplier and Marginal. But we’re absolutely ecstatic to have Abaddon Incarnate from Ireland join our roster. It doesn’t hurt that we were huge fans of their music right since their early days.

Label owner Kunal Choksi comments, “I’ve been a huge fan of the band ever since they put out the album ‘Nadir’ which I regarded as one of the best albums of that decade in our feature on our webzine back in the day. Ever since then I wanted to work with the band but had to wait till they were free of contractual obligations, and as fate would have it, things aligned almost miraculously to turn this into a reality. The band have been very prompt and clear and we had no problems in signing a multiple album deal with Abaddon Incarnate. We’ve always been on the lookout for more grind bands for the label and are just thrilled to find one in Abaddon Incarnate, who’re one of our favourites. Expect a new album to be recorded in mid-2020, with its release happening soon after.”
Abaddon Incarnate add, “Having known the label by reputation, there was very little discussion when it came to accepting the offer from Transcending Obscurity. Furthermore considering they are fans of the band from back in the Nadir days it would appear it’s mutually beneficial. We are in the process of writing new material for a 2020 release and could not be more excited that we will now be part of such a distinguished roster.”

Olan Parkinson back for Irish Gigs

Next december we embark on a mini tour of Ireland with our good mates "Rato Raro" Grind Punk from Spain. These will be our last gigs for a while as we unfortunately have to attend to family stuff, day jobs and college studies and any band time is put aside to writing new material for the majority of 2019. However, we are happy to announce for this set of gigs we will be joined by our original drummer "Olan Parkinson" who played on our first two albums "the last supper" and "nadir" so it will be fun to share the stage again with one of the original members of the band. We start rehearsals after our return from Australian tour in November, and we hope to be playing new unreleased material and of course old material from all of our releases.
Its 20 years since we recorded the last supper in October 1998 in Tico Tico Finland so help us celebrate this by coming to share in the brutal intensity at one of these shows

Thursday 13th December - Belfast - Voodoo
Friday 14th December - Cork - Freds
Saturday 15th December - Dublin - Upstairs FIbbers - Free entry late gig

For our third Australian tour we will be joined on drums by "Sam G Adam" from wounded Pig, who will also be main support for us this tour. Sam has generously offered to help us out as we were left without a drummer this month with the departure of Karl.
Sam has been brutalizing his drumkit ferociously to prepare to tear a new asshole in the above cities.

See you there !

Feb / March 2017

Quick update, We have just finished a Irish mini tour, playing a really cool gig in fibbers in Dublin on Friday night, place was packed out and all the bands played well and we got to Resurect the mighty "putrefaction" from their brief Hiatus. We also hit the poser holocaust festival 3 in lisburn in Northern Ireland so it was nice to meet all the people up in that scene and check out "acid age" live, very impressive stuff.

Next on the cards is two days rehearsals with our old drummer Johnny King who has kindly stepped in to relieve karl leavey from going to Australia with us in 2 weeks. Karl has college exams and its a bit too much work to be gallivanting around Australia in a van with us scumbags for two weeks while trying to do Study or whatever it is students are supposed to do.
